GC Pharma to support the South Korean government in the distribution of 40 million doses of Moderna vaccine

GC Pharma has reached an agreement with Moderna and the South Korean government regarding the COVID – 19 vaccines. Per this, the pharma company has announced on 4 March 2021 its intention to support the country in distributing 40 million doses of the Moderna vaccine. GC Pharma will take this action following the approval of the vaccine by the necessary local regulatory authorities. 1

In the second quarter of 2021, South Korea will import over 40 million doses of Moderna’s COVID -19 vaccine. The Korea Diseases Control and Prevention Agency explicitly announced this news. 

Moderna and GC Pharma

Based on the terms and conditions of the agreement between Moderna and GC Pharma, the latter will be responsible for the local regulatory activities. Moreover, under the agreement between GC Pharma and the Korean government, the former is responsible for distributing the COVID – 19 vaccines in South Korea. This distribution will be done with the help of the Korean government authorities.
