Mechanism of Action | It is an angiotensin (AT) receptor blocker and prevents the binding of angiotensin-II with the AT receptors located in the vascular smooth muscles, adrenal gland, and other tissues. This in turn blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects produced by angiotensin-II. |
