Mechanism of Action 
Indications Sulfadoxine + Pyrimethamine is used for
1. Treatment of malaria due to susceptible
P. falciparum in areas of high chloroquine
resistance and in patients who have not
responded to chloroquine
2. additionally quinine may be given for 3 days
