Dose 
Contraindications 1. Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy
2. Ventricular tachycardia
3. Hypokalaemia
4. Digitalis toxicity
5. Arrhythmias
6. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome or
another accessory pathway
7. Particularly if accompanied by atrial fibrillation
8. Intermittent complete heart block
9. Second-degree atrioventricular block.
Precautions 1. Recent myocardial infarction
2. Sick sinus syndrome
3. Severe pulmonary disease
4. Thyroid disease
5. Congestive cardiac myopathy
6. Hypercalcaemia
7. Aortic valve disease
8. Heart block
9. Cardiac dysrhythmias
10. Renal impairment
11. Avoid hypokalaemia
12. Avoid rapid intravenous administration
