DoseAdult- 0.25 to 0.5 mg daily 2 to 3 times a day. It is not recommended in children.
Contraindications1. Respiratory depression
2. Marked neuromuscular respiratory weakness including unstable myasthenia gravis
3. Acute pulmonary insufficiency
4. Sleep apnoea syndrome
5. Severe hepatic impairment
6. Not for chronic psychosis
7. should not be used alone in depression or in anxiety with
depression
