Precautions1. Parents aged over 60 years and hypermetropic (long-sighted)-may precipitate acute angle-closure glaucoma
2. Darkly pigmented iris
3. More resistant to pupillary dilatation-exercise caution to avoid overdosage
4. Hyperthyroidism
5. Pregnancy 
Adverse Effects1. Transient stinging and raised intraocular pressure
2. On prolonged administration-
local irritation
3. Hyperaemia
4. Oedema and conjunctivitis
3. Eczema dermatitis
4. Photophobia
5. Parasympathetic simulation
