Mechanism of Action 
Indications Oxcarbazepine is used for
1. Monotherapy or adjunctive therapy in the
treatment of partial seizures
2. secondary generalized seizure
3. substitution for carbamazepine can be made abruptly with an oxcarbazepine-to-carbamazepine ratio of 300:200.
