Mechanism of Action 
Indications Levetiracetam is used for
1. Good effect difficult-to-treat idiopathic focal
epilepsies of childhood,
2. Photosensitivity and myoclonus- Generalised
epilepsy with photosensitivity
3. Idiopathic epilepsy– control of GTCS and Myoclonic
4. Treatment of postanoxic and post-encephalic
myoclonic epilepsy
5. Epileptic encephalopathies-
LGS, West Syndrome, severe myoclonic epilepsy,absence seizure, rolandic epilepsy.
